Sultan Murat Yaylası is a green historic plateau at around 2,100 metres in Trabzon's Çaykara district, named after the Ottoman Sultan Murat. It is known for its wide meadows, its mist and its views above the clouds.
It is about 90 km from Trabzon (roughly two hours on a mountain road) and is among the region's most beautiful and authentic plateaus.
